- How-To & More
These tire studs have a tungsten carbide pin that sticks out of the tire tread and contacts the pavement surface. The outside part of the stud is a cylindrical Aluminum jacket or body that is held in the tire tread rubber by a flange at the base. The carbide tip of the stud protrudes above the tire tread and gives the snow tire added traction on slippery, icy roads.
We offer packs of 25(7g), 100(28g), or 500(140g). Works great with Dillinger tires!

I used these studs on my Dillinger 4s. They are pretty easy to install (I used the 45 NRTH tool). It took me a half hour per tire to creat my desired pattern. After 6 rides mostly on snow I have not lost a stud. The added grip the studs offer on the often icy trails in Wisconsin is pretty awesome. One important note , these studs are not concaved like the 45 NRTH studs. If I were going to ride smooth ice I would opt for the 45 NRTH studs. Dave on 27th Jan 2015
Installation of studs is easy with t-handle . The performance of the D-5 Dillinger snow tire is greatly increased for hard packed snow and ice conditions......well worth the investment. Unknown on 19th Jan 2015
